Ingredients
1 cup wheat flour 2 tablespoons gram flour (besan) 2 tablespoons millet flour (bajra or jowar) 1 small onion (finely chopped) 1 green chili (finely chopped) 2 tablespoons fresh coriander (chopped) ½ teaspoon red chili powder ½ teaspoon turmeric powder ½ teaspoon cumin seeds Salt to taste 1–2 teaspoons oil or ghee Water (for kneading) Instructions In a large bowl, add wheat flour, gram flour, and millet flour. Add chopped onion, green chili, coriander, red chili powder, turmeric, cumin seeds, and salt. Mix everything well. Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough. Cover the dough and let it rest for about 10 minutes. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a round roti. Heat a tawa (pan) and place the rolled roti on it. Cook on both sides, applying a little ghee or oil until golden brown.
Makke Ki Roti Recipe
Makke Ki Roti is a traditional Punjabi flatbread made with maize flour (makka atta). It is most popular in winter and usually served with sarson ka saag, white butter, and jaggery (gud).
